A Letter of LOVE

Good morning,

Our Father’s love is TRULY AMAZING! So after a couple of not so good days, God showed up this morning in such a way. Do you know that God can speak to you in any situation? At any given moment? You just have to be open to receiving whatever it is that He wants to share with you. This morning a really great friend of mine offered me some fruit. So as I’m at my desk before I could even take my first bite, God started depositing His word in my spirit.

Matthew 6:25-34

“Therefore, I say to you, don’t worry about your life, what you’ll eat or what you’ll drink, or about your body, what you’ll wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds in the sky. They don’t sow seed or harvest grain or gather crops into barns. Yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth much more than they are? Who among you by worrying can add a single moment to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? Notice how the lilies in the field grow. They don’t wear themselves out with work, and they don’t spin cloth. But I say to you that even Solomon in all of his splendor wasn’t dressed like one of these. If God dresses grass in the field so beautifully, even though it’s alive today and tomorrow it’s thrown into the furnace, won’t God do much more for you, you people of weak faith? Therefore, don’t worry and say, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ Gentiles long for all these things. Your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Instead, desire first and foremost God’s kingdom and God’s righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, stop worrying about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Then as I took my first bite it was fresher, juicier and tastier than any fruit I’ve ever enjoyed and then He spoke to me again.

John 4:14

“But whoever drinks from the water that I will give will never be thirsty again. The water that I give will become in those who drink it a spring of water that bubbles up into eternal life.”

Then He spoke again, again and yes again. It brought tears to my eyes. Just feeling an overwhelming love from Him and how He has us in His hands. It’s truly amazing and I’m so grateful that we’re able to have such a personal relationship with our Father. I just want to encourage whoever is reading this that no matter your circumstance, no matter what you may be facing right now, what the doctor may have said, if you’re going through family issues, relationship issues, anxiety, doubt, WHATEVER IT IS BROTHERS AND SISTERS I want you to be encouraged knowing that Jesus has His hands on you. He has never left your side and never will. He loves you more than you could possibly imagine and there’s nothing you could ever do to change that. I pray for each of you that you will bask in the Father’s love from THIS DAY FORWARD. That you WALK IN THE FREEDOM that is yours through Jesus and until God opens the next door you CONTINUE PRAISING HIM IN THE HALLWAY 🙂

Mr. and Mrs. Right

Mr. and Mrs. Right

There are many people who are searching for Mr. or Mrs. Right via social media sites, speed dating, matchmakers and other sources that have become available in our society, without first knowing what it takes to become the one. Some people serial date without first reflecting and healing from the previous relationship and when they finally meet the one they truly want to spend their life with, they’ve had yet to unpack their luggage from  all of their past relationships.  Then there are those who religiously carry around a fairytale list that has in turn clouded their judgment and now they are out here looking for someone who doesn’t even exist.

So how do you become Mr. or Mrs. Right? You must first appreciate the season you’re in and not rush God’s timing. Some of us, if not all know that God does not go by our itineraries. He operates out of His will and desires for us because He has our best interest at heart. When you appreciate the season that you’re in, no matter the length of time, you then allow God to perfect things in you and in your future mate. When you’re operating in God’s will, He will not give you something that you’re not yet ready for. There may be a ministry that God will place on your heart that will require a specific amount of dedication in the developmental stage that can only be accomplished if you are single. Perhaps, God is uprooting some things out of you that would be cancerous to the marriage that He wants to bless you with. You never want to rush through what God is trying to develop in and through you. When you completely submit to God and His will for your life, you’re in fact drawing a line in the sand that your desires are His desires.

Now it’s time that I speak specifically to my sisters. You may not want to hear this but I love you so I’m going to be very honest with you. Some of you have been praying for that husband that you just know God is going to bless you with; however you’re not even submitting to God. There is no way that you will ever be able to submit to your husband if you haven’t even begun to walk in obedience and submit to your Creator. It’s not about a man ruling over you or telling you what you can and can’t do. It’s about a man who has a heart for God and is being led completely by Him, therefore is automatically leading you through the Holy Spirit. Brothers, everything doesn’t fall on the sisters so I’m going to speak to you as well. In spite of what you may hear or have sometimes seen in the percentage of women you’ve met, there truly are women who have an ear for God and have no issue whatsoever with submitting to the right man. For this to happen, you must first be submitted to God.  I want you to know that in order to lead a woman and for her to feel spiritually comfortable, she must know that without a doubt you’re operating in the will of God which is through submission to Him.

Now let’s get to the real heart of the issue. What is your foundation? I understand life gets busy but we have to be very cautious not to allow people and things to replace God’s position in our lives. By not keeping God in His rightful place, you’re not only telling God “I got this!” but you’re also building an unstable foundation that will not last and is sure to self-destruct at any given time. This includes putting others before your relationship with God, idolizing people, things and not seeking daily intimacy with the Father. If you don’t first build a solid foundation individually, then how can you expect to have a fruitful and blessed relationship or marriage in the future? There may be some of you asking how do I build a solid foundation? Well, that’s simple. You must keep God first in all things and spend time with Him daily by making Him the number one priority in your life. When you do this, you then are able to realize that Jesus is the true foundation. Never be satisfied where you are in your relationship with God. Yes, bask in His love every chance you get, however don’t become so comfortable where you stop having a desire and a thirst for Him. So again, ask yourself, have I allowed God to work on me in this season? Am I seeking to grow more mentally and spiritually and finally, what is my foundation?
