Unshakable Faith

Lately I’ve made a decision to be more transparent in blogging and sharing with my readers. To open myself up in a way that I haven’t before, so I pray that through this significant change more people will be encouraged and inspired on their journey to greatness. There have been quite a few things on my heart; however something that has been piercing to my soul is having an unshakable faith as you go through this rather remarkable thing called life.

It can be quite challenging to stay in faith when you are constantly faced with different obstacles to overcome. However instead of seeing these situations as something that will break you, recognize them for what they are, life occurrences that will help build your character and make you stronger than you were before. This mindset comes with knowing that no matter the circumstance, our Father is working everything out for our good. It comes from seeking a deeper intimacy with the Giver of life Who is so in love with you and has nothing but your best interest at heart. In saying that, we know that His will may be very different than what we desire and that’s alright. As a matter of fact, it’s awesome because what you have your heart set on, God will deliver in another way that is strategically put together just for you.

Another thing that goes hand-in-hand with God’s will is His perfect timing. He is never early, never late but always on time. It’s possible that whatever it is that you’ve been in prayer about, God is saying not yet. So many times we are always in a rush to get to the finish line but life isn’t a sprint. Life isn’t about who can get to the finish line first, it’s about who can sustain through the race until the end. God may be taking you through a pruning process all the while perfecting that very thing which you’ve been in prayer about and that can only happen in His timing. Prayer, meditation, quiet time and the like are your lifeline to the Creator. That’s why it’s so imperative in your walk to spend time daily with our Father so that you are tapped into His flow. We so often want God to be on our time table and then wonder where all the frustration and stagnation is coming from in our lives. It’s because we aren’t in alignment with His will. When we are in alignment with God’s perfect will, our desires and His desires are a mirror image of one another.

I encourage you to keep believing, keep pressing forward boldly knowing that you are never a forgotten memory when it comes to the Father. You are His heartbeat, He loves you, He adores you and your best days are not behind you but before you!

Abundant Blessings!

  1. Ms. Reese,

In reading your blog for the first time I find it to be extremely exhilarating. I am currently (have been for quite some time) attempting to receive God in my life and accept him as my savior (I hope I expressed that correctly). I have professed orally my acceptance as the lord to be my savior numerous times previously in my past. Unfortunately, I’ve never progressed beyond those professions in which I sincerely meant. Never wanting to give in or give up on a relationship with God because I felt God was not giving in or giving up on me, I continued (in my own feeble way) to seek a relationship with God and discover God’s purpose in/for me. Having recently gone on a mission to Niger, Africa (via an invitation through my daughter in which I feel God used her to get to me) with group of Christians I for the first time in my life (as I can recall) prayed in front of a group of individuals on our last day in Africa. I even (after listening to the pastor in our group) asked to testify (again, a first in my life) during the church service held at a local pastors home (Niamey, Niger). Feeling much closer to obtaining the relationship I want with God, having been guided to read this outstanding blog is extremely helpful and nourishing to me. The words and the message it resignates in me is very powerful and has reinforced my believe that our Father has not and will not give up on me, nor will he give up on you! I pray for and I pray that all those reading Ms. De’Andrea Reese’s blog (s) be touched by the Lord in the way that I am and pray I continue to. Thank you for your fantabulous blog Ms. Reese!
